How to configure devices, recording output, audio, webcam presentation, and annotation defaults before a breakdown.

Check your camera and microphone

Open Settings from the studio header before recording to choose inputs, confirm device access, and preview the camera setup.

  • Turn the camera and microphone on or off, then select the intended device source.
  • Use Refresh Devices after connecting hardware or granting browser permission.
  • Preview the camera, mirror it when needed, and watch the mic level before recording.

Choose how the export is composed

The Recording tab controls the output layout, phone presentation, quality, webcam overlay, and audio that become part of the export.

  • Choose source, landscape, portrait, square, or classic output layout before capture.
  • For portrait outputs, choose webcam overlay or split layout and adjust the webcam share.
  • Set recording quality, webcam shape and size, source-video audio, volume, and mic processing before starting.

Set annotation defaults once

The Annotations tab controls the look and timing behavior used as you create new telestration during the session.

  • Set common color and stroke-width defaults before building a consistent breakdown.
  • Configure pen, arrow, highlight, text, marker, and defender-vision behavior.
  • Adjust animation, hold time, fill opacity, callouts, curves, and marker labels to fit the coaching point.
